Checklist for Change
Just about everyone is talking about fixing our nation's health
care system and as nurses, we need to be at the center of this debate.
Together, we can elevate nursing issues like safe-staffing, better
wages and banning mandatory overtime to a national audience. The
country is searching for answers—and nurses must speak up!
We've
taken some huge steps together to improve patient care and our
profession. Now we have the opportunity to do even more. In our state
legislatures, in the halls of Congress, and at kitchen tables across
America, let's make 2007 the year of change.
